Sea or plain salt: Which one is better for health?

Both sea and table and table salt are used for cooking and consumption. However, the first difference is in how each of these species is obtained.
While the salt is being dug from the depths of the earth and undergoing a series of industrial processes, with many minerals being removed and additives being added, sea salt is obtained through natural processes of seawater evaporation. In doing so, the minerals remain preserved in the granules.
Salt is finer in texture, so it's easier to blend into food, but in some recipes, chefs use only salt because of its rough and crunchy texture. Some also like the stronger taste of sea salt.
Many people experience sea salt as a healthy alternative to table salt.
Still, it's a little more complex. Although people may consider sea salt a healthier option, the misconception is that it contains less sodium. Moreover, the amount of sodium is the same in both types of salts. As sea salt comes from a natural source, it also contains other minerals, including magnesium, calcium and potassium. But while table salt does not have these additional nutrients, it does contain iodine that is of great importance for health.
In addition, it is important to know that sodium is an essential nutrient that people get from added salt and processed foods. However, doctors recommend limiting salt in the diet because too much sodium can contribute to dehydration and heart disease, and the high pressure exerted by excessive salt consumption is a cause for concern.
